Top 5 Ways to be Productive

Hey Peeps!

I hope that everyone has had a great week so far!  With it being the beginning of the month, it's been super nutso busy at work. Not being your own boss tends to take a toll on you and that got me inspired and thinking about the best ways to be productive. One of the things I want to do is look into Kabbage.com! They are a great company that gives loans to small businesses (Yay!) and they pride themselves on helping entrepreneurs increase productivity. They have all sorts of information on their website and blog, giving you tips & tricks on how to be a successful business owner and I'm excited to dive in! I know everyone has different tactics on how to get things done, but I thought I'd share what works for me! Here are my Top 5:

My Vision Board

  • Make a List ~ Whether it be on paper or vision board, make sure you have a clear and concise list of things that you want to get accomplished. Quite personally I like making vision boards. Using Polyvore makes it really easy to do this. Or if you want to take it old school, you can sit down with some scissors, glue, and cut outs and paste away on poster board!

  • Find a Hiding Place ~ Do you ever have it in your mind to go home and get everything under the Sun completed? Yeah me too, but it doesn't happen. Why? Because there are too many distractions at home. There's always something that needs to be cleaned, or moved, or called about, or something to be done for someone else. You have to find what I like to call your hiding place! Starbucks is my hiding place. I can go in there and grab something yummy to drink and not be worried about what it is I need to get done at home. Plus, if you hang out at Starbucks then you're automatically a kool kid!:o)

  • Set a Time Limit  ~ I'm a person that hates to waste time. Deciding how long you want to work on your projects allows you to maximize the most out of your free time. And let's be honest, with the way the world works nowadays you want to use every second you can wisely!

  • Get Some Rest Baby! ~ Yeah yeah, I know..  You've heard it all before, but for really reals it helps! I can't even tell you how many times I've felt like a dunce all because I was sleep deprived. But when I'm really awake (and not coffee awake) and rested I perform so much better. Get.That.Beauty.Rest.

  • Have the Right Tools ~ You can't get anything done without all the correct supplies, right? Right! If your hiding place is outside of your home, then make sure you pack a (cute) bag with everything that you're going to need to get the job done.

Now these are just my ways of getting things done. What do you like to do to get in the zone and scratch things off the list? Let me know!
Ciao!

Fall Festival Fashion

Greetings All!

It's FRIDAAAAAAY!!! Can we all just do a little happy dance for a minute? I'm especially excited because I'm going kick off the weekend with a bang! I'll be going to the Atlanta Cheese Festival being held at Botanical Gardens!! There's beer.. There's cheese.. There's wine.. And a beautiful setting to boot.. You can't really beat that can you?

Anyway, if I had it my way this is what I'd wear to said soirée. I'd be sparkly, high on heels, Smokey eyed, and fabulous. Actually I won't be too far off from that description except for the heels. I have no patience for hurting toes and sore feet anymore. However, I will have on some really cute flats. Besides the Cheese Festival, I also want to do some apple picking and finally go to a corn maze! I've heard it's great fun. :)

So what do you have planned for Fall activities?

Greetings!

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend thus far. :) Yesterday I went to a huge flea market that probably had everything you could think of, even some Beats headphones for $15. Ha! There were booths selling shoes, clothes, beauty & bathroom products, electronics, original Nintendo games and and assortment of gaming consoles, kitchen appliances, and lets not forget the food stands selling fresh fruit by the cup and wheat chips by the bag. Have you ever seen wheat chips before? I hadn't. They look like fake round orange slices. Never would've guessed they were wheat and people were buying up a whole bunch. Everywhere we went there were a ton of kids nomming on those things!

Today I'll be out and about window shopping, enjoying the sunshine, and obsessively looking at my eBay stats! I finally listed something on eBay! Check it out Here and Here.  What do you have going on today?

Ramblings

* As you can see I have my latest Polyvore set above! I love fashion and I have seen more and more people wearing overalls again. Can I just say how excited I am about this. I.love.overalls. I salivate. I must have a pair before the Spring & Summer season is over. The great thing about them is that they can be worn with heels or sandals.

* I've been thinking about going back to school, even though I'm not of the traditional age anymore. Have you gone back to school. Did you hate it? It seems a bit scary. Let's not even talk about having to apply, needing transcripts, waiting on acceptance letters, possibly applying for grants and/or financial aid. Ugh..

 * I love tea... Black tea, green tea, chai tea, white tea. Love em all. Is it just me or does tea just not sooth the soul! I really need for a Teavana tea bar to come on down to Atlanta or just more tea houses to pop up in general. Just a nice place to go and chill, read a book, and sip some tea.

* How cool would it be to grow your own herbs? I'm wondering how difficult it will be or if I would use the herbs enough to where I wouldn't waste so much?

* Why is gas so HIGH right now!?! In my neighborhood gas has jumped up to 3.80!!!!!! Whaaaa.. No. This is unacceptable. Thankfully, I only work 15 mins away from home. Je-buss!

So what have you been up to this weekend? Tell me your ramblings. :)

Ciao!

Valentine's Classy

Greetings....

Hope everyone had a fabulous Valentine's day whether you shared it with your significant other, with friends, or by yourself!

If I had it my way... You would see me sitting at my French vanity, completing the finishing touches to my ensemble for the evening. I would pull my favorite red lipstick (one of many) out of the drawer and apply it in three swipes... I would hear footsteps behind me and look around to see..

Valentine's Classy

The love of my life looking rather distinguished. I would smile and compliment him and ask if the car was ready so that we wouldn't be late for our dinner reservations. He would walk over, kiss me on the cheek and help me up so that we could go and tell me that I was the most beautiful thing he's ever seen in life.

At the restaurant there would be quite a romantic ambiance, with many candles, servers dressed in black, crisp linen, and the aroma of mouth-watering food circulating around teasing all that entered. We would chat all evening about everything and nothing and the server would comment on how we were such a cute couple and how in love we seemed to be.

We would finish the meal with another glass of wine and coffee and once feeling fully sated, the bill would be paid, thanks or good service would be given, and the good feelings from the evening would continue at home where a surprise bouquet of my favorite flowers would be waiting.

Fashion Friday

Fashion Friday

Greetings..

I’ve decided to share what I think I would wear today had I gone on a shopping spree at some point. I would find a lovely & cozy tea house to go sit in to lounge about, sip on a delicious tea, people watch and read a good book. You would see me nestled at a table in the corner so that I could survey everything going on around me. Of course I would keep my hat on, because well.. it’s a part of the outfit and I wouldn’t want to sit there with hat hair! A woman with kind eyes and a shy smile would complement my Michael Kors bracelet and I would smile, say thank you, and in turn compliment her shoulder bag. It’s the polite thing to do, you know. Plus, I would actually like her bag. At some point I would get peckish and order finger sandwiches and savor the flavor of the variety that was offered. I’d read off and on in between people watching and then once I was at a good stopping point in the book, I would pack up my things, leave monies for my meal and wave goodbye to the shop owner promising to stop by again for tea next week.

Ciao!

Vision Board 2014

Welcome to 2014!

I love the start of the New Year! It’s almost as if everything from the past year just gets cleaned away and you get to start anew. I know it’s all in people’s mind, but it does provide some comfort and hope knowing that the new year can bring new joyous beginnings. Speaking of new beginnings, why is it that making resolutions seem to get a bad rap nowadays? I wasn’t really into the whole making New Year’s resolutions for most of my life, because let’s be honest.. most people (including myself) have just broken them. I do like the idea of setting goals that you’d like to achieve though. It’s the same thing as making a vision board, which I’ve been told by my friend that I must join in on this year.

I’ve decided to create one on Polyvore. If you’re addicted to or even remotely like fashion…. you need to be on Polyvore. You get to make a collage of outfits, themes, and your personal style. For me it’s like going on a carte blanche shopping spree and everything fits perfectly! Warning: It can be very addictive.

My Official Goal this Year: Discipline!

It encompasses everything that I want to accomplish or work on, (i.e. living a healthier lifestyle, keeping up with chores, really setting up a schedule for my Etsy business and taking inventory, learning how to let my light shine, writing and blogging more consistently, etc, etc, etc.) So what are your goals or resolutions? Let me know!

Ciao!
